Bill Gomer - Owner
Bill
Gomer is the third generation of a family owned business that started
in Great Falls, Montana, in 1938 by William A. Gomer (grandfather) and
Bud Gomer (father). Bill began working in the family enterprise while
still in grade school and learned all of the different functions of the
business.
He attended Northern Montana College for two years before
returning to manage the Great Falls diesel shop. Bill has been factory
trained in all diesel fuel injection lines. In 1972, Bill and his father,
Bud Gomer, decided to open a branch store in Missoula, Montana called
Gomers Diesel & Electric, Inc. Bill moved to Missoula to manage the new
store. In 1978, Bud and Bill, in a joint venture opened a third branch
store in Belgrade, MT. Bud Gomer was a past A.D.S. (Association
of Diesel Specialists) board member and Bill Gomer was also a long
standing board member of the A.D.S. for many years.
Bills father, friend and partner, Bud Gomer, passed away
in 1981 leaving Bill to oversee all three operations himself. So in 1996,
Bill decided to sell the Belgrade operation to his store manager. Several
years later it he decided to permanantly close the doors on the original
Great Falls operation so he could entirely focus his efforts on the Missoula
store. Bill currently resides in Missoula where he oversees the Missoula
operation.
In year 1999, Bill brought two shareholders into the business;
Scott Scheffer as Vice President and Richard "Moe" Johnson as Secretary/Treasurer.
The corporation now employs 15 employees. Since we opened our doors in
1938, our goal has always been to keep up with modern technology and new
changes. We feel we have met that goal and we are proud to still be going
strong.
For over three generations, Gomer's Diesel & Electric
has been committed to customer satisfaction in service, quality of products
and parts, and competitive prices. This was a pledge that was good in
1938, and is still good today. Thank you for making our success possible.

Nick
Stewart - Internet Marketing
Nick is responsible for tormenting our local trout population
with his fly rod while modeling the stylish looks of the USDP
hat. In his spare time, he makes sure you can find usdieselparts.com
easily on the World Wide Web as well as all marketing efforts
related to the site. Nick has a degree in finance and went
on to receive his MBA from the University of Montana in Missoula.
Nick is the contact for all online inquiries and is dedicated
to making your online experience with us as enjoyable as possible.

Sam
Scheffer - Web Spinner
Sam specializes in diesel fuel injection systems and has
attended and been certified for most major diesel fuel injection
training courses including Bosch, Stanadyne, Lucas / CAV,
Garrett turbo's and NASA Space Shuttle design. He has worked
as a diesel technician for longer than he cares to admit.
Sam also designed this website which he currently maintains.
That basically means that Sam's sanity is hanging by a very
small thread. You can make a donation to help save Sam's sanity.
He prefers Bayern Amber.

Roxanne - Accounting / Office Manager
Roxanne works here in an office behind a desk that usually
has a big pile of really important papers on it. We have no
idea what she does with those papers, nor do we really want
to know. Here's a picture of her walking around Caras Park
in Missoula with a very large bird. She's also holding a glass
that probably contains iced tea or milk. We don't know what
the story with the bird is. All we know for sure is that it
involved a night in Tijuana and a restraining order.

Rob Jewitt - Sales
After his stint with the US Navy, Rob claims that he was
honorably discharged before he settled down to go to work
here with the rest of us. We'll just have to take his word
on that. Rob works in the parts and sales department. If you
are looking for some extra power from your rig, then Rob is
the guy to talk to! He's pretty quick on his bike too. Here
he is catching some air on his Yamaha YZ250F.

John "Yo" Sheagren - Sales
John (pictured on left) is looking extremely pleased with
his slightly less "height challenged" companion
(pictured right). John came to us from the great state of
Michigan (Go Wolverines!) and is a graduate from the University
of Montana. John is the guy you need to talk to when you can't
find it anywhere else. His attention to detail makes him the
kind of person you can count on. Whether you are looking for
OEM parts or aftermarket performance, John can help you out.

Jason Scheffer - Technician
Here's Jason taking a break and hangin' out with his Wife
Christina and their son Waylon at Dyno Days '07. Jason is
also factory trained and certified in many diesel fuel injection
courses. He helps with many of the performance upgrades, rebuilds
turbochargers, injectors and fuel injection pumps. Actually,
Jason can repair just about anything from a pencil sharpener
to a rocket engine! Jason is an enthusiastic technician who
is known as a person you can count on to get the job done
right and in a hurry. Jason loves to tackle those tough jobs
that most people would try to stay away from.
|
Jason Bierig - Technician
Here's a picture of Jason hangin' out with his wife Heidi
and their youngest boy Logan during Dyno Days '07. In case
you weren't sure, Jason is the one on the right. I don't know
what it is about guys named Jason wearing overalls in the
100° sun, but obviously hot chicks seem to dig it. Jason is
our newest pump & injector technician. He came to the great
state of Montana from Oklahoma in 1988. He has previously
worked in most aspects of the construction industry with a
few stops in other outlets before he decided to move to a
less weather motivated career. He's not as young as he used
to be, ya know!
Go Sooners!!!

JD Olson - Inventory
You can tell by the look on JD's face that he takes inventory
control very seriously. Every part that is accounted for has
a little bit of JD's blood, sweat and tears on it. And we
apologize for that, but it could probably be worse. And here's
a little trivia about JD; If you ask him what "JD" stands
for, he'll tell you that it doesn't stand for anything. But
we happen to know that it really stands for "Junkyard Dawg".

Jim Harbison - Performance Technician
Jim is our head auto tech. But don't be fooled by fancy
names. Jim is a certified mechanic and an experienced gearhead
who knows his business. You know you've got the right guy
twisting wrenches when he also works on his own race cars
at home in his spare time just for kicks. Basically, Jim likes
what he does and he's damn good at it. So the odds are that
if you're having us do a dyno run or a performance upgrade
on your truck (or car) in our shop, Jim's going to make sure
it get's done right.
|
Shawn Rogers - Performance Technician
Shawn became a certified Dodge technician in 2000, and we're
very pleased to have him with us today. He is a Montana boy
who knows what trucks need and his experience and knowledge
with diesels is one you will come to know, love and trust.
We could tell Shawn knew his stuff when he rolled into work
with a toolbox that's larger than most peoples homes. (It
even has a deck with a view off the back!) Shawn claims that
it's not the size of the toolbox that counts though, but rather
how you utilize the tools. (I'm still not convinced that he
was talking about his toolbox.) But as you can see in the
photo, Shawn is utilizing his favorite tools: a 2" combination
wrench and a large detail knock-ometer for some precision
repairs on a Duramax. You wouldn't believe what this guy can
accomplish with those tools! We've even seen him replace a
clutch in an '07 Dodge using nothing but a pair of pliers
and his teeth.

Terrence "T" Daniels - Master Shipping Engineer
We would like to officially welcome Terrence, or "T" as
we call him, to our team. "T" is our new master shipping engineer,
and he is well suited for the job. You see, "T" comes from
family that has a long and proud history in the shipping business.
His great great great grandfather, Duane Daniels (or "D")
invented the first cardboard shipping container in 1890, and
from there he started a strong lineage of grandchildren that
are truly gifted in the art of shipping. "T" showed an interest
in shipping at an early age. Like most children, he preferred
to play with the boxes instead of what came in them at Christmas.
His parents knew he would follow the family tradition when
at age 9, he shipped the family cat to a friend in Wyoming.
Later while attending High School, he actually shipped himself
to Canada to avoid detention for setting the principal on
fire. Now "T" uses his shipping skills to get our customers
products to them in a safe and timely fashion. As "T" likes
to say, "Our customers can expect a little extra "T"LC with
every package that I send out."
