Finding Your 6.0L Engine Build Date:
The easiest way to get the correct FICM is by looking at your old FICM. It will
either have a date on it like this: "June 12th, 2004", or a date code
in the DDMMYYYY format like this: "12062004". It can be difficult
to read the sticker if the FICM is still installed on the truck, so you may
have to remove it to find the date code. An OASIS report or a service work order
from a Ford dealership will also show your build date.
