EGR Cooler Delete Kits

The EGR Cooler (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) on the 6.0L Power Stroke is susceptible to a variety of problems that can cause everything from poor engine performance to total engine failure. A clogged Engine Oil Cooler can restrict the flow of coolant to the EGR Cooler, resulting in excessive heat that causes the coolant to flash-boil within the EGR Cooler. This leads to corrosion of the EGR cooler and eventually coolant contamination into the engine oil. A leaking EGR Cooler can also contaminate the cylinders with coolant, creating a hydraulic effect that can stretch the head studs and cause the head gaskets to fail. Additionally, carbon buildup within the EGR system can cause the vanes in the VGT (Variable Geometry Turbocharger) and the EGR Valve to become inoperable. Eliminating the EGR Cooler altogether will resolve these problems and improve performance by increasing exhaust flow directly to the turbo.
