When you’re hauling heavy loads or towing, your stock brake rotors and pads can use all the help they can get. BD’s famous BD Brake exhaust brake will not only slow your rig more safely and predictably, it’ll save you thousands in maintenance costs over the life of the vehicle.

The BD Brake uses BD's exclusive Variable Orifice Technology, which provides peak retarding power throughout the engine's rpm range-not just at high rpm like other brands. The rugged, cast-iron housing incorporates BD's exclusive AlumiBronze bushing and piston ring-sealed, stainless steel butterfly shaft that has proven to stand up under the harsh, high-heat conditions of the exhaust environment.

The BD Brake applies factory-approved exhaust backpressure that is self-regulating; once pressure reaches the factory specification, the butterfly position changes to maintain the highest safe backpressure. And thanks to the large four-inch casting, exhaust flow is not restricted when the butterfly valve is in the open position. A lighted, dash-mounted toggle switch activates the brake immediately, while flipping off the switch or applying the service brakes causes the brake to release just as quickly.

All kits come complete with all necessary mounting hardware and detailed instructions.
