FICM Failures
The Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM) controls the fuel injectors on the 6.0L Power Stroke engine. It is responsible for stepping up the battery voltage to 48 volts, which is required to activate the injectors. The FICM works in conjunction with the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to control the fuel delivery to the engine. The module is located on the engines valve cover, and is subjected to extreme heat and vibration which is the most probable cause of the FICM's high failure rate. A failed FICM will cause stalling or a no-start condition. If your FICM voltage is low, then you should see a DTC P0611 (Fuel Injector Control Module Performance).

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) Related to a Failing FICM:
• P0611 (Fuel Injector Control Module Performance)
• P0261 (Injector Circuit Low - Cylinder 1)
• P0264 (Injector Circuit Low - Cylinder 2)
• P0267 (Injector Circuit Low - Cylinder 3)
• P0270 (Injector Circuit Low - Cylinder 4)
• P0273 (Injector Circuit Low - Cylinder 5)
• P0276 (Injector Circuit Low - Cylinder 6)
• P0279 (Injector Circuit Low - Cylinder 7)
• P0282 (Injector Circuit Low - Cylinder 8)

Pre-Programmed and Ready to Install!
OEM replacement modules are expensive, and they come un-programmed and must be programmed by the installer prior to vehicle operation, which is a difficult and costly task for most independent repair facilities. Our professionally remanufactured FICM's are 100% torn down, upgraded and fully tested on a vehicle simulator. Once each unit passes initial testing, they are pre-programmed with the appropriate vehicle software and are ready for installation and operation. All you have to do is install it and drive it away! If you have any questions, please call us at (800) 823-4444.

Finding Your 6.0L Engine Build Date:
The most accurate way to get the correct FICM is by looking at the Engine Data Sticker that is located on the passenger side valve cover. It will either have a date on it like this: "June 12th, 2004", or a date code in the DDMMYYYY format like this: "12062004". An OASIS report or a service work order from a Ford dealership will also show your engine build date. However you go about it, it is important that you get the "Engine Build Date", as opposed to the "Vehicle Build Date".

Awesome Service

After searching everywhere for this FICM and finding out nobody had them in stock. I called Usdieselparts and spoke to Nick, he was great. They didnt have any programmed FICMs left in stock but they had the core and it would be a week before I could get one preprogrammed.  After I explained how much I needed to get my truck up and running. Nick told me he would call me back. About twenty minutes later he calls says he can overnight the core to the programmer who can overnight it to me and I would have it in 2 days. I got it 2 days later put it in the truck and she fired right up and runs better than ever. Highly recommend Usdieselparts and Thank You very much
