A pyrometer is NOT included with this tuner. A pyrometer isn't
necessary, but it is strongly recommended that you use a pyrometer for safety defueling and engine protection. Ford 6.4L Power Stroke trucks will use a factory sensor in the
manifold to monitor EGT's, but all others will need to already have the correct
pyrometer installed, or else the GT
Tuner w/ Pyrometer should be used.
The Triple Dog GT (Gauge Tuner) is a vehicle engine tuner, monitor, gauge and diagnostic device all in a single unit. The GT dramatically improves the utility of several vehicle applications by providing an increase in horsepower and torque and by improving fuel economy through better engine tuning. The GT monitors and displays over fifteen different vehicle parameters (PIDs) and it includes our all new Driving Coach feature which teaches end users to maximize their vehicles fuel economy potential. So is it really true, will this product give you improved fuel economy? The
answer is: heck yes; but only if you drive conservatively. If you have your
foot to the floor everywhere you go, you are liable to see a significant decrease
in fuel economy. That is why we can’t say for sure how much of an improvement
this product will provide because it all comes down to the driver and their
