Our factory trained and certified technicians have been rebuilding DB2 injection pumps since they were introduced by Stanadyne in the late 70's.
The DB2 injection pump was based on a proven design that has been utilized in many agricultural and industrial applications for years. But one weak point on all Stanadyne automotive DB2 pumps that is often ignored by most rebuilders is the advance bore. The all-aluminum housing tends to wear out quickly where the steel advance piston is located. This causes excess return fuel and poor pump timing, which results in poor fuel mileage, excess smoke and low power. We address this problem by utilizing a steel sleeve in the advance bore. This gives us a more precise pump calibration and a superior injection pump that will last considerably longer.
We also completely dis-assemble each pump and replace each part that doesn't meet factory specifications with new Stanadyne parts. This includes the Head and Rotor assembly, which is the heart of the DB2 pump and is quite expensive. A worn Head and Rotor will cause a hard starting condition, but it also tends to get "overlooked" by some shops because of the expense to replace it.
So if you're shopping for a better price online, just remember that we go the extra step to deliver a better product.
All DB2 injection pumps include a 1-year warranty.
