K&N E-0776 and E-0784 air filters for 2003 to 2008 Dodge diesel trucks are noticeably different from the stock filter and can easily be confused by consumers as being "incorrect."

However, both of these K&N air filters do replace the OE flat panel air filter in the factory airbox. Their unique shape and design make maximum use of area in the factory airbox. Both still seal the same as the OE filters, but instead of hanging at the top of the airbox, they go all the way down to the bottom of the airbox. The K&N air filter allows more surface area than a flat panel air filter could provide and greatly increases dust capacity.
